Supporting Future Automotive Technicians:
Sun Valley Auto Repair's Partnership with Coshocton County Career Center

At Sun Valley Auto Repair, we believe in giving back to our community and investing in the next generation of automotive technicians. For the past several years, we’ve proudly partnered with the Coshocton County Career Center's Automotive Technician Program , donating shirts to their students as a token of our support and encouragement.

This year, on December 10th, 2024 , Carson, our owner, had the privilege of delivering this year’s shirts in person to the class. But the day was about much more than shirts—it was about inspiring the future of the automotive repair industry.

A Special Delivery with a Purpose

When Carson arrived at the Career Center, he was greeted by a classroom full of eager students who are passionate about learning the skills to become the next generation of automotive technicians. Each student received a custom Sun Valley Auto Repair shirt, a small but meaningful reminder that the local business community is rooting for their success.

Sharing Insights from the Automotive Industry

Beyond the shirts, Carson took the time to talk to the students about:

What Business Owners Look for in Employees:
Carson shared insights into the qualities and skills that make technicians stand out in today’s competitive job market. From technical expertise and a willingness to learn, to strong communication skills and a good work ethic, he emphasized the importance of being reliable and adaptable.

Opportunities in the Automotive Field:
Carson painted a picture of the rewarding career paths available in the automotive industry, encouraging students to pursue excellence and never stop learning.

Real-World Expectations:
He shared the daily realities of working in a repair shop, offering practical advice on how to excel in the workplace and build lasting careers.

The students had the opportunity to ask questions and hear firsthand from a local business owner about what it takes to succeed in the field.

Investing in the Future

Our partnership with the Coshocton County Career Center is just one way Sun Valley Auto Repair is helping to build a stronger, more skilled workforce in our community. By supporting these students, we’re not only giving back but also helping to shape the future of our industry.

We’re proud to see their enthusiasm and dedication and look forward to seeing some of them enter the automotive field as skilled professionals who will one day set the standard for exceptional service.

Why We Do It

At Sun Valley Auto Repair, our mission is to drive trust, set standards, and create opportunities—not just for our customers but also for the next generation. Programs like this remind us why we love what we do and why we’re committed to investing in our community.

To the students at the Coshocton County Career Center: Keep working hard, keep learning, and know that the team at Sun Valley Auto Repair is cheering you on every step of the way.

Drive Your Passion Forward. The Future is Bright.
