Why do my Brakes Grind?

This picture on the above on the left is an example of a vehicle’s Brake Rotors that were driven so far past the point of repair that Brake Rotors were rubbing metal on metal. This is not a sound you want to hear! Let us help you by performing preventative maintenance on your vehicle.

Are you hearing a Brake Grinding noise while using your Brakes while driving around Sugarcreek and Walnut Creek? This could indicate your vehicle’s Brake Pads are the issue. Over time your Brake Pads lose their thickness and begin to make squealing noises.  As they wear down further you will begin to notice the grinding noise. If this is happening it is time for your vehicle to have a Brake Repair or Brake Replacement done.

At Sun Valley Auto Repair preventative maintenance is very important to us and our members. That is why each time your vehicle is in our shop we do a Digital Vehicle Inspection. With this Inspection we take photos and/or videos of your vehicle. When we do a Brake Inspection we take digital photos and measurements of your Brake Pads and Brake Rotors.  By doing this we are able to tell you when your Brake Pads and Brake Rotors are wearing thin. This will allow you to plan when your vehicle will be due for a Brake Repair before your brakes start grinding.

We recommend you visit us here at Sun Valley Auto Repair. We will have one of our ASE Certified trained technicians complete a Brake Inspection. Schedule Appointment Today
